I went over to the Promenade in Brooklyn Heights last week and took some panoramic photos. What I captured was Lower Manhattan while it was out of power from Hurricane Sandy. It’s not everyday that you get to see this so I wanted to share. My thoughts go out to all those in the tri-state area that were affected by the hurricane.
Earlier this year in the summer we came across these pennants and had to have them. Who knew these two teams would make it to the NLCS this year. That’s where we stand, John’s Cardinals and Dan’s Giants battle it out for the best in the National League.
Things are tense around the office and know only one can win, but we both find consolation in the fact that either way we have a Houses team representing the National League in the World Series this year!!
Opening up a new shop is a lot of work. But one the fun things is getting new stuff to fill up the space! More stuff!
We ordered a set of cornhole and gave it a nice slick paint job. Despite the simplicity of the game, it can certainly entertain… also helps to have a beer in hand.
